This study analyzed the digital competencies of teachers of the Bachelor of Education Sciences at the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo (UAEH), Mexico. Based on the findings, the development of a continuous training model is proposed to develop these skills. The aim was to promote professional development in the classroom, responding to the principles and needs of this university to achieve a correct integration of information and communication technologies in teaching practice. The above involved identifying the courses offered to UAEH teachers in this area, applying a test based on the Common European Framework of Digital Competence of Educators (DigCompEdu) and analyzing the results with a quantitative approach. The findings suggest that there are various needs for the development of digital competencies in teachers. Through the processing of statistical data, a proposal for a continuous training plan was designed through a Nano Online Open Course to become a qualification model in digital teaching skills for the institution.
